Ozone Injections in North Liberty

What Happens During an Ozone Injection?

Not every type of ozone therapy works the same way. Some approaches involve your blood, while an ozone injection places an oxygen-and-ozone mixture directly into a targeted treatment area.

At Iowa Wellness Center, we offer several ozone injections in North Liberty depending on the concern you want to address.

Why Use a Targeted Injection?

An injection allows us to place ozone directly into a specific area rather than treating blood outside the body. That makes this approach different from EBOO, which draws blood, exposes it to ozone and oxygen, and then returns it to the body.

We choose the approach based on what you’re treating and your health goals. For example, our current ozone therapy options include targeted injections, as well as blood-based treatment.

Three Ways We Use Ozone Injections

We currently offer 3 injection approaches:

The right choice depends on your symptoms and treatment goals. We don’t assume that the most involved option is automatically the best one for you.

FAQs About Ozone Injections

If you’re considering an injection, these questions explain how the options differ and where they fit into a larger treatment plan.

How are ozone injections different from EBOO?

Ozone injections target a specific area. EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Ozonation and Oxygenation) is a blood-based treatment that moves blood through a specialized system for ozonation and oxygenation before returning it to your body.

Our ozone therapy page explains both approaches if you want to compare them in more detail.

What is the difference between a regular ozone injection and Prolozone?

A standard ozone gas injection uses an oxygen-and-ozone mixture. Prolozone adds methyl B12, vitamin B6, and procaine to the treatment before the ozone injection.

We decide which option fits after discussing the area you want treated and what you hope to accomplish.

Why would you combine ozone with PRP?

PRP + ozone combines 2 regenerative treatment approaches into one. Iowa Wellness Center currently offers this as one of its ozone injection options.

If you want to understand PRP on its own first, our PRP injections page explains the treatment process and the concerns we use it to address.
