Once you arrive for your appointment, our friendly staff will guide you to your private treatment room. You will then sit in the Emsella chair while fully clothed. Once you are ready, your healthcare professional will start the treatment process.

The number of Emsella treatments you will need varies greatly depending on the severity of your symptoms and your healthcare goals. Generally, patients need between 6 and 12 sessions over the course of 2 to 3 months to get the best results. Each session lasts about 30 minutes and has no downtime after.

• Be sure to arrive at your appointment wearing comfortable clothing.
• Do not drink alcohol or use tobacco for at least 48 hours prior to your session.
• Remove all jewelry, metal, credit cards, and electronic devices before sitting down in the Emsella chair.
• Do not wear thick clothing and avoid wearing clothing with metal pieces.
• Drink plenty of water on the day of your appointment.
• Avoid treatment if you are menstruating, you can easily call and reschedule with no problem.

You won’t need much specific follow up care because the Emsella chair makes for an easy and painless treatment. However, we do recommend that you follow our short list of after session guidelines.

• Keep hydrated in the couple of days after your appointment.
• Do not participate in strenuous exercise or activity.
• Avoid using alcohol or tobacco products for at least 48 hours after your treatment.
• Do not engage in sexual activity for at least 72 hours after treatment.
